KINO is a DJ originally from Florida but now residing in Tokyo, Japan. KINO started DJ’ing in 2010 and through the years leading to their first DJ performance under the “KINO” name at Club MOGRA. MOGRA is known around the world as the home for “Anime Club Music”. KINO then returned to America and continued to bring the sound of Japanese club music all over the states.

During the COVID years KINO would start a collective called Asahi Crew in which he would host online Twitch events to further showcase the Japanese music space while clubbing wasn't possible. One of these events known as ANIBASH would then become an annual event KINO and James Landino would host in Los Angeles California every summer. This event focuses on the same mission KINO has always held personally by bringing Japanese DJ’s and artists to America such as TeddyLoid, BANVOX, YUC’e, Kors K, and many more.

Starting 2025 “Asahi Crew’’ would evolve from collective to officially a proper music label releasing monthly singles featuring up and coming artists from all over the world. In 2026 Asahi Crew continues to build on their success on all fronts including their newest venture of starting a clothing brand.

KINO & James are now taking Asahi Crew to new heights by taking over events & venues around North America as well as Japan. Asahi Crew will also start a clothing brand in the summer of 2026 as they look to build this section to be a core part of their brand.
